A blender food processor combo is a great kitchen appliance for those seeking to save space in the kitchen while still being able to enjoy the benefits of having a blender as well as a food processor.

However, combining a blender and food processor is not always the best choice. Ultimately, this depends on what you plan to do with it, but also what you’re NOT going to do with it.

In this guide, I will share five of the best popular blender food processor combos, thoroughly tested by me and my techy husband. These products have different price tags and offer different sets of features.

Top 5 Blender Food Processors

Let’s go through the three best blender food processor combos in more detail. All three products are relatively affordable while not sacrificing performance.

1. Ninja Mega Kitchen System 1500

Ninja Mega Kitchen System 1500

Perhaps the best in class when it comes to blender food processor combos is the Ninja Mega Kitchen System 1500.

As the name suggests, it has a powerful 1500-watt motor base. The motor allows the blender pitcher to easily pulverize ice, tough vegetables, and whole fruits, and the processor bowl to quickly chop and make dough without issues.

The blender pitcher has a generous capacity of 72 oz, while the processor bowl has a generous 8-cup size. In addition, this model includes two 16 oz Nutri Ninja cups with convenient to-go lids. One thing I should point out here is that the blender does make a fair bit of noise, but given it’s only for a short while, this is not a major problem.

If you’re looking for a functional and powerful blender food processor combo without spending an absolute fortune, this Ninja Mega Kitchen System is a good choice. It offers the best value for money of all models on this list.

2. Nutribullet Triple Prep System

Nutribullet Triple Prep System

The Nutribullet Triple Prep System is an extremely versatile kitchen appliance that seamlessly transitions between a full-size blender, a single-serve blender, and a food processor, using the same base.

Its smart design includes vessel recognition, automatically lighting up the relevant controls depending on the attachment being used. The powerful (1500 watt) motor is capable of creating smooth blends, from silky smoothies to creamy nut milks, while also having the precision to chop, shred, slice, and dice with ease.

What I really like about this Nutribullet are the 5 pre-programmed settings for both blending and food processing, which makes using this machine not only super easy but also fun. The food processor comes with a generous 7-cup bowl, a dual-size food pusher, and versatile blades for a wide range of tasks, including chopping, slicing, shredding, and even kneading.

The blending pitcher, at 64 ounces, can do both cold and hot blends, and is equipped with a vented snap-on lid and an easy-pour spout to minimize mess. Overall, this system offers a comprehensive solution for various kitchen tasks, combining power, precision, and ease of use in a compact design.

  • 1x 32 oz cup / 1x 24 oz cup
  • 2x to-go lids

3. Oster Pro 1200 Blender Food Processor

Oster Pro 1200 Blender Food Processor

With a 1200-watt motor, this Oster Pro model is perhaps not as powerful as the Ninja Mega above, but with its Dual Direction Blade technology, it performs exceptionally well, both as a blender and as a food processor.

The Oster Pro 1200 features seven speeds and three pre-programmed settings for common uses, taking some of the guesswork out of blending and food processing.

It comes with an 8-cup sized, BPA-free Tritan plastic container with a wide top, and a 5-cup food processor bowl with slicing and shredding blades that can make delicious dips and chop veggies with ease. Also worth mentioning is that I’ve found cleaning up afterward to be fairly easy.

What I also like about the Oster Pro is its design. It doesn’t look as bulky as the Ninja Mega Kitchen Pro, and it is also slightly smaller in size and weighs less. Unfortunately, this also means that it offers less capacity.

4. Ninja Foodi Power Blender System

Ninja Foodi Power Blender System

The Ninja Foodi Power Blender System offers a blend of power and versatility that will make it a standout appliance in your kitchen. It’s a solid product that is also well-priced.

Its enhanced food processing capabilities, in particular, are superb, featuring a lid with a feed chute and select-cut discs that make shredding, slicing, and grating a breeze.

The blender part is also a solid performer. This powerhouse boasts a 1600-watt motor coupled with smartTORQUE technology, ensuring it powers through the toughest ingredients without much of an issue. And for those who love smoothie bowls (like me!), the XL smoothie bowl maker with its built-in tamper excels at processing frozen ingredients with minimal liquid, perfect for crafting thick, spoonable treats and creamy nut butters.

Also worth mentioning is the nutrient extraction, which is designed to break down ingredients thoroughly, ensuring your drinks are not only smooth but also nutrient-rich. And the variable speed control gives you mastery over the texture and consistency of every blend, putting you in control.

What I like most about the Ninja Foodi Power Blender System is the 7 preset Auto-iQ programs. With just the touch of a button, you can get smoothies, bowls, extractions, spreads, chopped food, and even dough.

5. Vitamix A3500 Gourmet SmartPrep Kitchen System

Vitamix A3500 Gourmet SmartPrep Kitchen System

As you might already know, I am a big fan of Vitamix blenders, as they can make the perfect smoothies. The Vitamix A3500 is the flagship blender in the Ascent series, which is a fantastic (but also expensive) product.

The Vitamix A3500 can also be purchased as a blender food processor combo, which consists of the A3500 blender and a Food Processor Attachment. In my Vitamix A3500 review, I explained why I love this blender, and I must say that the food processor attachment certainly doesn’t disappoint.

With a powerful set of blades, this food processor will let you shred (small and large), slice (thin and thick), chop, and knead with fantastic results. And the blender, with 5 program settings, is one of the best high-powered blenders currently on the market.

While the A3500 Gourmet is a top-quality product, I intentionally placed it last on this list of best blender food processor combos because the price tag is difficult to justify, especially compared to the other products on this list.

Buying Guide

Here are some things to consider when looking for a good quality blender food processor combo kitchen appliance.

1. Combo vs Blender

As the name suggests, a blender food processor combo kitchen appliance is literally a blender and a food processor combined into one product. The food processor often comes as an attachment.

The blender can blend smoothies and soups, and the processor can process solid foods into nicely chopped and sliced meals and dips, among many other things. A food processor can be used for things like chopping, slicing, dicing, grinding, shredding, and grating foods, quickly and conveniently.

Food processors come in different sizes and with different components, but at its core, a food processor consists of a motor, a bowl with a lid and tube, and a set of attachments.

If the mixture you’re processing is dry and solid, then a food processor will typically be the preferred option over a blender. Blenders, on the other hand, are much better suited for dealing with soft foods such as fruits and vegetables and turning them into liquids.

So, if you want to do all these things with one kitchen appliance and save space, a blender food processor combo is a great solution. But it’s crucial that you pick the most suitable product and avoid buying one that is neither a good blender nor a good food processor.

You also need to consider what you’re going to do with it. Personally, after having had multiple blender food processor combos in my kitchen, I prefer to use a quality blender. My Vitamix blender can do many things that a food processor can do, but obviously not everything.

But a powerful blender can absolutely create foods such as soups and nut butters, in addition to deliciously creamy smoothies. Ultimately, the choice is yours. Some prefer a combo machine; others prefer a blender.

2. Motor

Modern blenders and food processors are quite powerful machines. And while power certainly isn’t the most important factor when selecting a new kitchen appliance such as a blender or food processor, the motor can have a significant impact on overall performance.

The machines above all have motors that range from 1000 to 1600 watts, which is quite powerful. Anything lower than 600 typically means poorer performance and, subsequently, worse blends and food processing results.

3. Capacity

The size of the processor bowl and blender container is also important. If they’re too small, you end up repeating manual work. They also don’t need to be supersized, which would mean they take up too much space in your kitchen.

Another thing to consider is if they come with several bowls and containers in different sizes. This can turn out to be very handy depending on the portion sizes you’re preparing and whether you want to take it with you outside.

4. Features and Functions

The more features and functions, the better, is what you may think. But that doesn’t always hold, unfortunately.

The way I see it, the more features cramped into one machine, the more the overall quality suffers. More is not always better. Similarly, less sometimes does mean more. So, look for features that you think are essential, and don’t focus on appliances with many features you don’t need.

I find having pre-programmed settings useful, but also having dedicated food processing functions, such as shredding, slicing, and pulsing.

5. Warranty

While most modern kitchen appliances last a very long time, it’s still good to consider the warranty term. This often also says something about the confidence manufacturers have in their products.

Personally, I never let the warranty decide my purchasing decision, but I do take note.

6. Other Characteristics

Other things to look out for are safety features (i.e., auto-lock), noise levels, overall size (does it fit on your kitchen cabinet), and design.

Design is an interesting one. Some people love fancy LED display settings, while others prefer a more old-fashioned look.

For example, one reason I love my Vitamix 5200 blender so much is that it has a simplistic design (compared to the A3500), but its performance is incredible.
