One thing I should point out here is that the blender does make a fair bit of noise, but given it’s only for a short while, this is not a major problem.

What I also like about the Oster Pro is its design. It doesn’t look as bulky as the Ninja Mega Kitchen Pro, and it is also slightly smaller in size and weighs less. Unfortunately, this also means that it offers less capacity.

As you might already know, I am a big fan of Vitamix blenders, as they can make the perfect smoothies. The Vitamix A3500 is the flagship blender in the Ascent series, which is a fantastic (but also expensive) product.
The Vitamix A3500 can also be purchased as a blender food processor combo, which consists of the A3500 blender and a Food Processor Attachment. In my Vitamix A3500 review, I explained why I love this blender, and I must say that the food processor attachment certainly doesn’t disappoint.
With a powerful set of blades, this food processor will let you shred (small and large), slice (thin and thick), chop, and knead with fantastic results. And the blender, with 5 program settings, is one of the best high-powered blenders currently on the market.
While the A3500 Gourmet is a top-quality product, I intentionally placed it last on this list of best blender food processor combos because the price tag is difficult to justify, especially compared to the other products on this list.

Here are some things to consider when looking for a good quality blender food processor combo kitchen appliance.
1. Combo vs Blender
As the name suggests, a blender food processor combo kitchen appliance is literally a blender and a food processor combined into one product. The food processor often comes as an attachment.
The blender can blend smoothies and soups, and the processor can process solid foods into nicely chopped and sliced meals and dips, among many other things. A food processor can be used for things like chopping, slicing, dicing, grinding, shredding, and grating foods, quickly and conveniently.
Food processors come in different sizes and with different components, but at its core, a food processor consists of a motor, a bowl with a lid and tube, and a set of attachments.
If the mixture you’re processing is dry and solid, then a food processor will typically be the preferred option over a blender. Blenders, on the other hand, are much better suited for dealing with soft foods such as fruits and vegetables and turning them into liquids.
So, if you want to do all these things with one kitchen appliance and save space, a blender food processor combo is a great solution. But it’s crucial that you pick the most suitable product and avoid buying one that is neither a good blender nor a good food processor.
You also need to consider what you’re going to do with it. Personally, after having had multiple blender food processor combos in my kitchen, I prefer to use a quality blender. My Vitamix blender can do many things that a food processor can do, but obviously not everything.
But a powerful blender can absolutely create foods such as soups and nut butters, in addition to deliciously creamy smoothies. Ultimately, the choice is yours. Some prefer a combo machine; others prefer a blender.

2. Motor
Modern blenders and food processors are quite powerful machines. And while power certainly isn’t the most important factor when selecting a new kitchen appliance such as a blender or food processor, the motor can have a significant impact on overall performance.
The machines above all have motors that range from 1000 to 1600 watts, which is quite powerful. Anything lower than 600 typically means poorer performance and, subsequently, worse blends and food processing results.
3. Capacity
The size of the processor bowl and blender container is also important. If they’re too small, you end up repeating manual work. They also don’t need to be supersized, which would mean they take up too much space in your kitchen.
Another thing to consider is if they come with several bowls and containers in different sizes. This can turn out to be very handy depending on the portion sizes you’re preparing and whether you want to take it with you outside.
4. Features and Functions
The more features and functions, the better, is what you may think. But that doesn’t always hold, unfortunately.
The way I see it, the more features cramped into one machine, the more the overall quality suffers. More is not always better. Similarly, less sometimes does mean more. So, look for features that you think are essential, and don’t focus on appliances with many features you don’t need.
I find having pre-programmed settings useful, but also having dedicated food processing functions, such as shredding, slicing, and pulsing.
5. Warranty
While most modern kitchen appliances last a very long time, it’s still good to consider the warranty term. This often also says something about the confidence manufacturers have in their products.
Personally, I never let the warranty decide my purchasing decision, but I do take note.
6. Other Characteristics
Other things to look out for are safety features (i.e., auto-lock), noise levels, overall size (does it fit on your kitchen cabinet), and design.
Design is an interesting one. Some people love fancy LED display settings, while others prefer a more old-fashioned look.
For example, one reason I love my Vitamix 5200 blender so much is that it has a simplistic design (compared to the A3500), but its performance is incredible.
