Another great budget centrifugal juicer that I can’t recommend enough is the Breville Juice Fountain Compact BJE200XL.
This Breville model has many of the same great features I love about the Elite but comes in at a much lower price point. Like the larger model, it comes with a titanium-reinforced disc for consistent results use after use. And it has the same Italian-made fine mesh filter for a cleaner product. It also has a 3-inch wide chute.
While the Elite has two speed settings, this one only has one. But the 700-watt motor spins at the perfect speed to get the most out of fruits, delicate greens, and harder vegetables.
But what really sets this juicer apart and gives it that “compact” designation is the unique pulp catch. Unlike most centrifugal juicers that use an external pulp catch, the pulp on this model collects in the wide top section. You’ll have to clear it out more often than with a traditional juicer, but it’s worth it for the space savings.

If you’re on a tight budget but still want a quality juicer that can do everything you need, the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro 800W Juice Extractor is a great option.
This one-speed juicer features an 800-watt motor. It doesn’t spin as fast as our top-rated model, but it produces a consistent rotation perfect for pulverizing both soft fruits and hard vegetables. It will take more time to fully juice each item, but the large 3-inch chute means less work to prepare that produce upfront.
One downside to this product is the juice jug is undersized. Not only does this mean it can hold less product, but it tends to splatter a bit when the juice comes out. But it’s easy enough to find a larger pitcher to use.

If you’re looking to make quick work of your morning juice but also want to save money, the KOIOS 1300W Centrifugal Juice Extractor is a good option.
This powerful centrifugal juicer has a 1300-watt motor capable of producing speeds up to 18000 rpm. You can access that speed through the high-speed setting or the unique power pulse setting. Both translate to bone-dry pulp and more juice in less time.
Those speeds make this juicer especially good for hard vegetables. But with a lower speed option, it also handles soft fruit reasonably well. And it does it all with minimal noise, maxing out at just 50 dB.
I appreciate the stylish body of this juicer and the durable metal lock bar. It also has one of the better knobs we tested. Not only is it large for easy control, but it lights up with a fun blue glow. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the skinny, undersized juice receptacle.
But that little detail is more than made up for by the low price. And while this may not be the most robust centrifugal juicer on the market, the price point is hard to beat, especially considering the power it offers.

Another Breville that we love is the Breville Juice Fountain Plus Juicer JE98XL.
Like our top pick, the Elite, this one features two speeds for variable juicing and a wide, 3-inch chute for less prep. And it has the same advanced titanium pulverizing disc and Italian-made fine mesh strainer as all Brevilles in this series.
But it is half the price of the Elite. This price cut is reflected in the motor, which is not quite as powerful as the top product. Operating at 850 watts, it is better suited for soft fruits and standard vegetables than anything too dense. But the low-speed setting is much better for juicing delicate greens and extracting more juice from water-logged fruits and vegetables.
With dishwasher-safe accessories, this juicer is easy to clean up after. We also appreciate the elegant look of these Brevilles and the durable metal locking bar.

The GDOR 1300W Centrifugal Juicer is in many ways very similar to the KOIOS, but there are a few key differences.
This powerful machine also features a 1300-watt motor capable of producing super-fast speeds to quickly shred and juice hard fruits. And like the KOIOS, it has two speeds, so you can also get decently dry pulp from softer fruits and veggies.
Like my favorite Breville juicers, it has a titanium shredding disc that won’t bend or dull with time. And all food-contact parts are dishwasher-safe and easy to clean. This unit isn’t as simple to put together as others and does take some time to assemble. It also isn’t as compact, thanks to larger pulp and juice containers.
That said, I like the juice catch on this one. It holds plenty of juice and doesn’t leak or drip, which makes cleanup easier. Like the KOIOS, it has an oversized, light-up dial and metal lock arm. It’s not as quiet, but it is a little cheaper, which may make it the better buy, depending on your needs.

Buying Guide
Before purchasing a brand new centrifugal juicer, it’s important to know what centrifugal juicers are and what some of the deciding factors to look out for are.
1. What Is a Centrifugal Juicer?
A centrifugal juicer uses a sharp cutting blade to chop up fruits and vegetables before spinning at high speed, using centrifugal force to separate the juice from the pulp. The pulp and juice end up in different containers.
The fast-spinning blade generates heat which some say may have a negative impact on the nutrients of the produce being processed. This is why cold press juicers are often preferred over centrifugal juicers, as they don’t generate heat.
Another potential drawback of centrifugal juicers is that spinning is not the most efficient way to extract juice from produce. As such, pressing juice is generally considered more efficient and leads to a higher juice yield.
All that said, a modern and powerful centrifugal juicer, like the Breville Juice Fountain Elite 800JEXL, does a fantastic job of extracting good quality juice.

2. Power and Speed
The power of a centrifugal juicer’s motor is defined as Watts. The Watt value of juicers can vary greatly, from a modest 600 to a generous 1300 Watt.
But a higher Watt value doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll end up with more or better juice. The internal workings of the juicer, the speed, and the speed settings, all have an impact on how good and how much the juice output will be.
The speed of a centrifugal juicer is often measured in RPM (rotations per minute), but not every manufacturer publishes that value. For centrifugal juicers, the RPM value can vary from 8,000 to 15,000.
3. Chute
The wider the chute, the less time you will have to spend chopping and cutting fruits and vegetables. A typical chute in a centrifugal juicer is three inches wide, which is good enough.
But keep in mind that even when a juicer has a wide chute, some prep work, like chopping and cutting, is still good, as this will make the juicing process much easier and more efficient.
4. Container
A centrifugal juicer typically includes two containers (or jugs): one for the juice and one to collect the pulp.
The bigger these containers (especially the juice container), the more juice you can create in one session, which in turn can save you time preparing and cleaning.
A juice container should ideally be at least 20 oz in size. Some juicers, however, offer 40 oz containers, which is a very generous size and allows for batch juicing.
