It’s also perfect for experimenting with different varieties like butterhead, romaine, or loose-leaf. Lettuce is one of my favorite vegetables for picky eaters, because everyone seems to love it!

Growing tips:

  • Plant seeds or seedlings in well-drained soil.
  • Keep the soil moist, and place in a sunny or partially shaded spot.
  • Harvest leaves as needed for salads and sandwiches.

Specific setup:

    Use a shallow container (at least 15 cm deep) with drainage holes. Fill it with loose, well-draining soil, and scatter seeds evenly across the surface. Water lightly but regularly to keep the soil moist.

  • Garden bed setup:

    Plant seeds in rows with 15-20 cm spacing. Cover lightly with soil, water, and mulch to retain moisture.
