When adding liquids to smoothies, I often opt for almond milk, coconut milk, or plain water. Sometimes, I even add green tea in smoothies, ideally in the morning as a coffee replacement.
I’ve been focussing on (unsweetened) almond milk lately, as it has fewer calories than dairy milk and coconut milk, but it still makes my smoothies creamy and tasty. Plus, with almond milk, my smoothies are lighter while still bringing out the flavors of the other ingredients better.
